The Ring of Kerry is a 175km (110 mile) scenic drive that follows the coastline around the Iveragh Peninsula. One of the most dramatic and scenic drives in Ireland, it affords views of a breathtaking array of sea-coast, lakes, rivers, blanket bog, forest and mountain terrain.

Kenmare, known as ‘The Jewel on the Ring of Kerry,’ is well known for its excellent restaurants. Kenmare is a heritage town rich in tradition and craft, the largest stone circle in the region is located here and it is also famous for its Kenmare needlepoint lace.
The Beara peninsula south of Kenmare also offers spectacular scenery. The Healy Pass cuts across the Caha Mountains with views over Bantry Bay and the beautiful, wild landscape of West Cork.
Caherdaniel boasts lively pubs and a blue flag beach at Derrynane, which offers water sports such as windsurfing and waterskiing. Derrynane House, its grounds now a National Historic Park, was the home of ‘The Liberator’, Daniel O’Connell. The world famous monastic site, Skellig Michael, and Valentia Island are also easy daytrips from Sneem.
