Sneem is well known for good fishing areas both sea and freshwater fishing. Fishing trips are organised on request. Boats leave the nearby Oysterbed and Rossdohan Piers daily for a day of deep sea angling on Kenmare Bay. The bay lies in the warm area gulf stream and is surrounded by the colourful mountains of the counties Kerry and cork. It is the home of more than 80 different species. Among these are skate, conger, eel, ling, blue shark, all dogfish species and pallack.

There is a newly opened fishing and tackle shop in Sneem village which is adjacent to the hotel which has everything you need for a good days fishing in Kerry.
