Things to do in Caherdaniel

Caherdaniel

You will find the tiny village of Caherdaniel about half way along the Ring of Kerry Road between Waterville and Sneem. Caherdaniel is located on the shores of Derrynane Bay which gives it's name to the surrounding area. The bay is a renowned centre for all types of Watersports - swimming, diving, kayaking, canoeing, surfing, water-skiing, wakeboarding and of course, sailing.

Caherdaniel owes its name to The Stone Fort of Caher ( 600 B.C) and can be found on The Kerry Way, a famous walking trail which is to the north of Caherdaniel. The Kerry Walkway is one of the most panoramic hiking trails in Ireland and it is most definitely worth exploring it. To help you plan your walk / hike there are route maps
available.
